SURGICAL SERVICES

The operating room at KDH consists of three surgical suites, an eight bed recovery room and a four bed out patient department.

We are fortunate to have the services of a general surgeon, three itinerant gynaecologists, four dental surgeons and two GP anaesthetists.

Annually there are about 1550 surgical cases, including emergency procedures. Our hospital offers the public 24 hour surgical coverage, which means that our surgeon and two anaesthetists are on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
