RESPIRATORY THERAPY
As an active member of the healthcare team, the respiratory
therapist is responsible for patient assessment, ventilation management, oxygen
therapy, delivery of inhaled medications, cardiopulmonary resuscitation and staff
and patient education. Diagnostic tests include full pulmonary function testing,
pulse oximeter testing, arterial blood gas analysis and cardiac stress testing.
