BIOMEDICAL ENGINEERING

The Biomedical Engineering Department is a satellite base of the Sudbury Hospitals Regional Biomedical Engineering Program. KDH has entered into an agreement which will provide the medical equipment maintenance needs.

The main function of the department is to provide a comprehensive maintenance management program for the medical equipment of the Hospital. The primary activities of the Department are:

1. Preventative and Corrective Maintenance
2. Equipment Evaluations
3. Incident Investigation and Hazard/Alert Monitoring and Notification
4. Incoming Inspections and Acceptance Testing
5. In-service Education
6. Equipment Modifications
7. Consultations
